The Haunt That Helped Bring Bricktown Back
In the mid-1980s, Bricktown was still a largely forgotten warehouse district east of downtown Oklahoma City. While looking at buildings for redevelopment, Jim Brewer and a group of investors toured the old Hunzicker Building at 101 E. California. The cobweb-filled warehouse was being used to store antiques—and someone in the group remarked that it would make a great haunted house.
Brewer brought the idea to life. The Bricktown Haunted Warehouse was operating in the building by 1984, years before Bricktown became the entertainment destination it is today. At the time, the name Bricktown was still unfamiliar enough that advertising had to explain the attraction was just east of the Myriad Convention Center.
The gamble worked. Contemporary accounts say the attraction drew 18,000 people in its first year. The crowds helped prove that entertainment could bring people back into the old warehouse district, and the Haunted Warehouse became part of the early wave of activity that helped reintroduce Bricktown to Oklahoma City.
The Haunted Warehouse operates at 101 E. California in the old Pittsburgh Plate Glass / Hunzicker Building.
The attraction brings thousands of people into a district that many Oklahoma City residents barely knew.
After 13 seasons at 101 E. California, the haunt moves as construction of the Bricktown Canal approaches the property.
The tradition continues at 429 Kings of Leon Lane—still built around suspense, atmosphere and the unexpected scare.

What age is the Haunted Warehouse recommended for?
The attraction is designed to be scary and is recommended for ages 10+. Parental discretion is advised for younger guests due to darkness, loud noises, flashing lights, fog effects and intense scares.
Will the actors touch me?
Our actors do not intend to touch guests. Because this is a dark, close-quarters haunted attraction, incidental contact may occasionally occur.
How long does it take to go through?
The Haunted Warehouse experience takes approximately 20 minutes, although actual times may vary.
Can guests wear masks?
No. Guest masks and full-face coverings are not permitted inside the attraction.
Can I take photos or video inside?
No photography or video recording is permitted inside the attraction. Please keep phones and cameras put away while going through the Haunted Warehouse.
Is there security?
Yes. Security and staff are on-site. Guests are expected to follow all posted rules and staff instructions.
What is your refund policy?
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Refunds will not be given if a guest chooses not to enter, leaves the attraction early, or is removed for violating attraction rules.
Can I bring a bag or backpack?
No large bags or backpacks are permitted inside the attraction. Small purses and personal items may be subject to inspection by security.
Can I enter if I've been drinking?
Guests who appear intoxicated, impaired, aggressive, or disruptive may be refused entry or removed from the attraction without a refund. The safety of our guests, actors, and staff comes first.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Bricktown Haunted Warehouse is primarily an indoor attraction. We generally operate rain or shine, but severe weather or other unsafe conditions may cause delays or closure. Any changes will be announced through our official channels.
Are there health or safety warnings?
Bricktown Haunted Warehouse may include strobe or flashing lights, fog effects, loud noises, darkness, confined spaces, uneven surfaces, and sudden scares. Guests who may be affected by these conditions should consider them before entering.
